We’re half way thru our trip already! We’re still in Utah soaking up the last of this beautiful fall weather and while we haven’t had great cell signal, I’ve still been making little videos of our trip along the way. Our second stop of the trip was in Moab. Moving up this trip a month sooner than our previous annual trips has afforded us some unexpected opportunities and one of them was being able to check out the town of Moab. Typically we pass thru in December and the town is all but shut down. However, when we were there a few weeks ago they were just seeing the tail-end of their busy season and so the place was still bustling but not too busy. Perfect timing in our book. We really enjoyed staying at Ken’s Lake Campground, a BLM campground a few miles south of town and will probably make that a regular stop when we pass thru in the future.
Here’s a short video of our stop in Moab, Utah:
hi Michele … Really enjoyed the short video. I could almost smell the sagebrush and breeze and understand how good the shower must have felt. The area sounds great. Genie and I looked at property many years ago on the Bear River in Southern Idaho and it looked just like your video…..nice memories … so enjoy your post.
Thanks Jim!
Really enjoyed your trip, we are planning a very similar one in mid April to mid may, traveling from NC. If you’d be willing to share any info in helping our trip plan it would be greatly appreciated!
Tanks Denis
Thanks so much for reading! Anything specific you’d like to know?
Wow we were there 2 years ago so wish we’d had time to explore those trails. Thanks for sharing
Love that area and your blog. I Mountain biked 150 miles through Canyon lands several years ago. Amazing.
That sounds like an awesome trip. Thanks so much for reading, glad you enjoyed it!
