October was a month of slowing down for us. After having slept in eighty different locations this year, it feels delightful to have spent the last two whole weeks lying low at our property. We absolutely love living a life of perpetual movement but even those of us with incurable wanderlust find the need from time to time to be still. Over the years we’ve found that taking the time to process and reflect on our travels is as valuable to us as the travel itself.
Here’s a little recap of the writing and photography projects that filled our time in October.
Home
The beauty of not constantly moving locations is the opportunity to rest, work on projects, and enjoy the rhythms of nature that are constantly on display here on our property.
Underdog Rescue Adoption Events
It has been a highlight of our year to get the chance to participate at several Underdog Rescue adoption events. Underdog, based in Moab, holds these events almost every weekend in Grand Junction. Our photos are helping to connect these pups with their forever families and we’re over the moon that photography has that kind of power.

Book recommendations
We believe books are one of the greatest tools to expand awareness of ourselves, each other and the world around us. No matter where you live or who you are, books have the power to change our minds, educate us or simply offer an escape. Because of our love of reading, we’ve just added a bookshelf page with a list of our faves.
If you have a book lover in your life, this list just might inspire the perfect holiday gift!
