A few years ago I stumbled upon some photos of Bisbee, Arizona and ever since then I’ve wanted to visit this one-of-a-kind little town. I admittedly know so little about Arizona for having grown up here and Bisbee looked to be unlike any town I’d ever seen in The Grand Canyon State. Bisbee is not on your way to or from anywhere, unless you’re headed to Sonora, Mexico. It’s only 5 miles from the Mexican border and not near much else. Since we couldn’t find any campgrounds or boondocking opportunities in the area, we booked two nights at the Queen Mine RV Park. For us, there’s only one reason you stay at an RV Park: proximity (full hookups never hurt though). Bisbee’s only RV Park may have been nothing but a small parking lot but it was only a five minute walk to downtown. We filled our two days there with lots of walking and lots of eating. When you’re a short walk from several excellent restaurants, you eat and then eat some more. We may have left Bisbee 5 or 10 pounds heavier but every bite was worth it. All in all, our short stay was well worth the out of the way trip there. I have a feeling we’ll be back. Not only for the fun, unique vibe of this eclectic, old mining town but also for the best pizza and fish tacos I’ve ever had (true story).

It was probably a good thing the RV Park wasn’t ideal otherwise we would have just stayed and eaten for far too long!
Always wondered what Bisbee was like. Now I know and would love to visit. You always find the best restaurants…. Looks like a town with a lot of character. Thanks for the post!!!!
Cool little town from what I hear…looks like you confirmed it. Were there no boondocking sites or were they just not convenient?
Santiago permanently closed several years ago. Cafe Roka is the best ,Copper Pig La Cornacopia and many other places with great dining have opened. In addition,A vegan vegetarian place Main street Bistro has opened downtown as well as the Bisbee Royale. And MORE
