We have an exciting announcement!

Hello readers! We’re excited to share that we’ve joined Patreon, a decision long in the making.

For the past three winters, we’ve shared daily stories and photos from our travels. When not posting daily, we provide weekly insights into life on the road, aiming to entertain, inspire, and inform our readers. Since launching this website in 2012, we’ve sought ways to generate a small income to compensate for the time we dedicate to making this website what it is.  Every hour spent here is an hour taken away from nurturing our income source which is our wedding photography business.  However, the idea of littering this website with ads or negotiating brand deals so that we can in turn pedal products to our readers never felt good to us.  After careful consideration, we’ve chosen Patreon.

First and foremost, nothing is changing here on this website. The content we publish will continue to be free. However, we are now offering exclusive content over on Patreon. Ok, on to the details!

What is Patreon?

Patreon is an online platform where fans of creators (readers of blogs, viewers of You Tube channels, etc.) may support those creators via a monthly subscription.  When you subscribe to us on Patreon you receive exclusive content that we’re creating solely for our Patrons in exchange for your support.

What it costs to join our Patreon

We’ve created three tiers of subscription offerings starting at $5/mo.

What you get when you join our Patreon

We wanted to offer something unique for those who choose to subscribe. We have decided to record a monthly podcast exclusively for our Patrons.  Every month Mark and I will sit down and candidly recap the highlights (and challenges) of the previous month’s travels. This is a first for us, and we’re excited to share a more detailed look at life on the road.

All subscription tiers include our monthly podcast. Tiers 2 and 3 offer additional benefits. In tier 3, we provide a Google map with pins to every Baja campsite we’ve ever stayed at, along with restaurant recommendations and travel tips.

Why join our Patreon

Your subscription supports our passion for creating content about unconventional living and life on the road. Our travels are more rewarding when we can share it through writing and photography that is enjoyable or valuable to our readers. By subscribing to our Patreon, we can continue building a blog that inspires, entertains, and educates others.

Thank you for being a part of our journey. Whether you choose to join or not, we are incredibly grateful for each and every one of our readers.  Thank you for being here.

Cheers!
Mark & Michele

  • I am disappointed that you have decided to enter the ranks of those who try to make money off the public that you have given for free for years. I was drawn to your adventures as an owner of a Four Wheel Camper myself and have enjoyed your life of travels. I’m sorry to say I will no longer be able to follow you on your travels. I will miss my daily read and wish you well in your new endeavor. Safe travels….

    • All the content on the blog (past, present & future) will remain free of charge, including the daily stories.

Thanks for following our travels all these years.

  • Thank you for doing this. I’ve been reading your blog for a very long time, and I’ve been wanting to compensate you for entertaining me so much. I’m sure your book is lovely, but the patreon makes me feel better.

    • Thank YOU for being a loyal reader! We’re excited to have you join us on Patreon and hope you enjoy the podcast!

  • Looks like your still having fun! Neil and Becky left the cold of Wisconsin and are down in Florida for 4 months Just camping Swimming Riding our Bikes Life is Good !
