Winter in Baja Day 66: The perfect trifecta

The desert above Agua Verde //

The day kicks off with a FaceTime call with a potential client.  I rearrange the camper to look as organized as possible and then sit down and turn the camera on only to see my weathered face and wonder why I even offer the option for video calls.  I decide to trust that a smile and kind heart is better than the makeup I’m not wearing and go on to have a wonderful call with people I hope to soon call clients.

We happen to be on Josh & Darci’s path today so they stop by on their way to town allowing us to come up with a rough plan for the next few days.  The way our routes have been consistently intersecting and diverging and intersecting again has been perfect.  It’s allowed us to enjoy all the pros of having travel companions while also being able to go our own ways when our needs or interests are different.  I’m so grateful for the ease of it all.

The rest of the day could not be more relaxed and the weather could not be better.  While doing the dishes I take note of how much easier this life is when the weather is in our favor.

This is our fourth and final night here.  Three full days was enough for the locals to start honking when they drive past.  Oh how I love Mexican hospitality.  I would have never expected such a random spot to rank so high in my list of favorites but it’s been the perfect trifecta of weather, views, and solitude.  Tomorrow we’ll return to the beach and I think I’m feeling ready to get my toes back in the sand.
